Tennis Court Rules1. Use of the tennis courts is limited to members of the WRC and their guests. A valid membership card for at least one player on each court must be clipped onto entrance gate of court. 2. Playing time begins on the hour. The court is to be relinquished when the allotted time has expired regardless of the match situation. 3. Playing time is limited to two hours. 4. Reservations: Members may reserve court time on Courts 1, 3 or 4 by signing up at the WRC Activity Board. In order to hold the reservation, play must commence within the first ten minutes of reserved time. (a) Enter last name, first initial and membership number at desired starting time on the hour. (b) No one may sign up more than two (2) days in advance. (c) No one may sign up for the same time slot two (2) days in a row. (d) Each member is limited to one (1) reserved time slot per day. (e) No one under sixteen (16) years of age may reserve a court on weekends or after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. (f) Court #2 is the teaching court. The Pro must reserve it in advance for lessons as provided by his/her contract. (g) When available, Court #2 will be available for sign-up to members under the age of sixteen (16) except on weekends or after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. (h) Any member not properly signed in can be asked by any other adult member to yield his/her court. 5. Children under the age of eight (8) are not permitted on the court unless under the direct supervision of an adult. No more than 4 people may play on a court. 6. Tennis shoes and proper tennis attire are required. 7. Players are responsible for keeping courts and environs clean and free from trash. 8. Acceptable tennis etiquette will prevail at all times. 9. Foul language or misconduct will not be tolerated and will be reported to the Pro. 10. NO BICYCLES, SKATES, ROLLERBLADES, SKATEBOARDS, DOGS, ETC. ARE PERMITTED ON THE COURTS. 11. Failure of member(s) or guest(s) to conform to the Rules may result in suspension or termination of tennis privileges in accordance with the By-Laws. |
